There is something mesmerizing about the textures and patterns found in nature. Throughout history these natural designs have influenced art in countless ways, from the fine details of a painting to architecture and fashion the list goes on.
As artists, we often draw inspiration from the world around us. What we observe, feel, and experience plays a crucial role in shaping our work, whether we realize it or not! It’s rewarding to explore these connections, finding ways to translate what we see into our own creative expressions.
I enjoy learning about the various influences that have shaped different works of art. This exploration often leads me to take photos of textures, patterns, and colors that catch my eye, which I store for future reference. These snapshots provide a valuable source of inspiration when I’m working on a new piece.
Recently, during a walk, I found myself drawn (excuse the pun!), to the plants around me. Their shapes and colors were so striking that I couldn’t resist taking a few photos! These images, I know, will serve as inspiration for future projects. Nature, with its endless variety, offers a wealth of ideas. It’s fascinating to think how different our world would be if everything looked the same.!! How fortunate we are that it's not!
